   Installed on a 2005 Avalon I inherited a couple of years ago. Got fed up with the audio quality from cassette adapters.

   It really was as easy as the guy in the video makes it look. I had very minimal tools, and almost no experience with stuff like this, but I had my car back to together and running within like an hour. It’s a world of difference actually getting some bass in my music.

   Shipping was next day as claimed, and product arrived and functioned exactly as advertised. It’s a bit pricy but for a permanent mod that will definitely help with a resell, I can’t talk l really fault it. If you own one of these cars this is a no-brainer purchase. The only thing I’ll ding it on is the somewhat poor English on the manual.

   2005 Avalon. Excellent for iPod integration with the factory radio. Easy install after watching videos and very pleased with the sound quality.

   These are the truth. I suck at mechanically taking things apart and putting them back together, but the car kit installation took me 15 minutes, not once, but TWICE since I bought another for my wife’s vehicle after realizing how good this thing and the support staff they have working for them is. Everything works as it should and I have nothing but good things to say about the tech help and device itself. I did find out that you have to push the FF button (#6 in the Avalon) for 5 seconds to reset and enter pairing mode if you don’t do it in the first 30 seconds of the vehicle turning on.. Also, if you do have two devices that would pair to this kit, the range is very wide, so it will continue trying to connect even after you drive away. My advice, is to only pair one device to it, because if it tries to pair multiple devices, the audio will keep ducking in an out every few seconds as it keeps trying to pair. You need to drive away from any other devices that are paired, reset and then pair your device again and it will work great. I believe that any bluetooth devices could run into this issue but just a hint in case you run into the issues with another BT car or you want to pair multiple devices. You can’t go wrong here, it’s worth the money.

   I came into this 2007 Avalon as a family gift. Eleven years old and 35,000 miles. It still has that new car smell. Installation was a snap. I wanted to go for complete functionality, so hiding the unit under the center console was not what I had in mind. I chose to mount the unit in the smaller (front) box in the center console.

   I removed the aft center console (two screws in the front and two 12 mm bolts in the bottom of the large (back) box. You must first remove the “felt” (cardboard) panel from the bottom – nothing but gravity holds it in. Pull the whole thing back, then up and out. Now it is easy to drill a 1/2 inch hole in the front middle of the bottom and then open it up with a file to accommodate the connector (that goes into the back of the head unit) plus the microphone plug. Two more 1/4 inch holes can be drilled in the front of the box in order to fasten the unit with a zip tie. Double stick tape could work also, but the adhesive gives out over time. Use scissors to cut a notch out of the felt-like panel that goes in the bottom of the box.

   I had wanted to put everything in the aft box, but the wires aren’t long enough.

   Works great.

   Maybe more functionality will be available in future versions (firmware upgrade?)

   I own a 2007 Toyota Avalon Limited with the JBL Synthesis sound with 12 speakers. Great system, However; without aux input or bluetooth from factory it was severely limited in entertainment options.

   After replacing the torn subwoofer with an kicker openair sub (NOT FUN) and installing this GTA car kit I can truly say the car has a premium system again. Coming from a 2011 BMW 3 series with the 420watt Harman Kardon system– the 360watt JBL synthesis is not as powerful but it gets the job done.

   With this kit the system provides clean powerful audio that is CD quality or better as they advertise and is much better than using any FM transmitter or Cassette adapter. EASY INSTALL.

   Using my Samsung Galaxy S8 6.2inch display with android auto and having bluetooth to set the phone on dash brings my car up to par with newer entertainment options in 2013 Avalons. Extremely satisfied, thanks!

   I have a 2007 Toyota Avalon with Bose system, without navigation system. It works, and it sounds awesome, read along for my thoughts on install. I bought the kit and watched the install video over and over, and bought automotive panel plastic pry bars as well as a telescoping magnet tool. Taking apart the dash went more smoothly than I expected it to, I got the radio out and looked at the back and realized that the port that the kit plugged into was already in use, I figured I could just try unplugging what was in there to see what happened. The ipod connection worked! But I did lose tape player capability, but that is a non issue. I ran the cord over to the glove box which was not difficult, and now I have ipod iphone capability in my car and it sounds incredible!

   Shipping was very fast. Installation was a breeze. Took me like 20 minutes. No extra tools. Video was very helpful.

   I’m using a classic iPod and Samsung galaxy s3. Cables ran through my glove box.

   I like how you switch it from manual mode to automatic mode, also I can use my steering wheel controls.

   Very good value, it’s way better than the factory toyota kit. My Avalon is like a new car again.
