  • I have a 2005 Accord with navi/XM so the installation process was a little more…. difficult? I had to pull out the entire radio, because the port was in the back instead of just hanging down like in the video.

I did it on a weekend that I worked, so I finished it in 2 days in 10 or 30 minute increments (my breaks lol). I had to use a multi-pack of trim removal tools (ESSENTIAL), a couple Philips screwdrivers, and a 9mm wrench for some bolts at the bottom of the radio unit.

I’m a 17 year old girl and I did everything myself. It took me a while, but it was worth it!! The sound quality is just as good as a CD and it’s so easy to use once everything is hooked up and put back together!! I ordered over a holiday weekend and it came in less than a week. (: My friend keeps telling me he’s gonna buy one for his car and pay me to install it for him lol.

  • This kit works perfectly on my 2002 Miata SE with the Bose 4H60 double din head unit. It sounds better than the Scoche FM transmitter and is MUCH more convenient. It retains all of the factory functionality of the head unit, such as dimming, speed/volume adjustment, and power antenna control. I love that the antenna stays down while using Bluetooth or aux, which is something that is impossible to do with an FM modulator, or transmitter. The install is very easy, and the mic works very well from on top of my steering wheel column. I will be writing a how to for miata.net shortly, but its very simple. Did I mention that the sound quality is outstanding? It is!

  • Thank you guys for making this video! It explains so much and made it easy to install the Bluetooth kit in our Sienna.

NOTE: If you run the microphone cord right, it will just reach to the center of the windshield. We mounted it behind the digital display with double-sided tape.

  • I just completed the install of the GTA car kit for my 2005 Lexus RX 330. I watched the video and got it done in less than an hour…spent time running the aux and ipod cables. It was so easy thanks to the great video. Ladies, you can do this on your own! Thanks GTA!!!

  • Works great. Instructional video was great. I am not a mechanic and everything was simple enough to follow along. I made it so that the charging cable and AUX cord came out of the ashtray. Nothing broke/scratched, feel confident when going in and taking your car apart.

  • This thing is AWESOME. Crystal clear sound. Best way to play music for my 4Runner. Super easy to install, took me maybe 15 minutes. Do yourself a favor, save your money on the cassette adapters, and BUY THIS!!!

  • Pros: Shipping speed, helpful installation video, relative ease of installation

    Cons: Poor quality aux cord

I had never heard of GTA Car Kits, but I found the website after researching alternatives to get an aux input on an existing car stereo other than purchasing a new head unit. I received the GTA Car Kit (non-bluetooth) for my wife’s ’05 Camry very quickly, as it shipped the day after placing my order. The Online video was very helpful as I was able to purchase the required tools before the unit arrived.

After installing the kit, I heard a great deal of static, and then the sound cut out completely. I was about to panic thinking I received a bad unit or that it wasn’t compatible with the stereo, but then I noticed the aux cord was loose in the phone. I tried to pushing the cord in further but it was still wiggly. I then swapped the supplied aux cord out for a spare one I had, and it worked perfectly. So that was the only complaint I have about the unit is the poor quality aux cord. No cord is going to make music sound better or worse, but a poorly constructed cord simply will not work efficiently or last very long.

I elected not to use the iPod cord as my wife and I have Android phones. As other reviews have pointed out, there are several ways to hide/run the cords. I tucked the unit itself away between the stereo and glove box. The directions suggest hiding it behind the stereo, but I could not get the head unit to lock back in all the way with the GTA kit behind it. Since I only used the aux cord, I elected to use the quickest method for running the cord which was through the glove box.

Other than the cheap aux cord, this unit worked just as advertised. The installation video helped me install the unit in under an hour, and since no holes were drilled, it is 100% reversible and removable. I’m very happy with my purchase, and it turned out to be a great Mother’s Day gift for my wife.

  • This is the best upgrade to my Toyota Tundra 2004 I’ve ever made. Easy to install and works great.

  • Very easy to install on my 04 camry , simple to use now for the features its cool that theres a next, previous, fast forward and backwards setting but there isnt a play/pause button wich would have been awesome if it had , the kit came with a aux cord but the cord wasnt long enough so that I could run it in the back and make it come out of the compartment behind the cup holder. Also it would have been cool if the track name would be displayed on the radio . Shipping came in very fast . Overall I would give it 3/5 because it doesnt have those features and without those features you end up paying 200$ CAD when you can get a 2DIN one for almost the same price except that you need to get a harness to make it work .

  • The kit is fantastic, easy to install even for an old lady! Also very impressed by the short time it took for the kit to arrive to Sweden. Ordered it on April 5th and had it in my hands by April 12th. And no additional tax charges. Thank you so much for the instructional video that made it possible for me to do it myself.
