  • Just installed mine yesterday. 2005 sutomatic rx8 with gps, bose system. It took me about an hour to do. The hardest part was getting all of the clips to come off of the back of the radio as they prevented me from pulling the head unit out any more than about 2 inches. I am very happy with the GTA car kit though. It works great and would recommend it to anyone.

  • There are actually 5 screws in the center consol of the 2004 miata. The fifth screw is found under the window control panel and I broke one of the tabs getting it out. I could not find any space under or around the cup holders, but the cords were long enough to keep the unit behind and under the radio. I actually find it easier to access from this location. Aside from these installation issues, I am VERY pleased and am glad that I didn’t need to buy a new head unit that has more than I want and looks out of place in my classic interior. Thanks!

  • so i have a 2008 mazda 6 the stock stereo cd didnt work so i just decided to get this and save me money since replacing the stereo would be costly due to the Bose audio system and finding a face plate which is hard for this model. easy install due to the video used an extension for the bolt. now i can use my ipod and mp3 players. worked on it for about 30mins. thanks again CTA car kits i might buy the blue tooth later on.

  • I live in Utah, I ordered this less than a week ago and received it yesterday. Install was very easy and quick, the toughest part was deciding where I wanted to mount it in my dash to give me the longest cables. There is plenty of room behind the stereo but I opted to mount it just above the middle console compartment, which is below the stereo and heater / ac controls. I drilled a hole in the top tray for the wires to come through from the back and it holds the wires perfectly, out of the way and in a small cubby that I have never used for anything.

The car kit performs perfectly with no sound interference, it controls my iphone from the radio buttons and just using the 3.5 mini jack works perfectly as well. Great sound, great price, easy install. I wish I had found these guys before I installed a much more expensive one in my bmw. Thanks!

  • I ordered the iPhone AUX kit and the bluetooth kit for my 2005 Honda Pilot EX-L (with 6disc changer). The videos on how to remove the in-dash radio and to install the kit were easy and very helpful. It literally took me 10 mins to completely install this and now my iPhone 5 streams music via bluetooth flawlessly and sounds great in the factory stereo. Very pleased with the product, quick shipment and the videos to help. Thank you!

  • I got the GTA car kit to put in a 2004 honda accord EX-L. It works great and my son (who drives the car) loves it. We followed the video with no issues. However, when we got to the part where you find the port to plug the cable in; it was not there. This car has the Satellite radio option and port is on the back of the radio. (not on the bottom like the one in the video)If you have the same, just plan on some extra time to get the white plug out because there isn’t much room to get it out. Once you get it out you replace the plug with a white y cable. The rest should be the same.

  • This car kit is a must if you can’t listen to your ipod or iphone directly from your radio. It is really easy to install on a toyota yaris and it is a very good product. Just follow the video on the GTA car kit website and that’s it.

    Thank you!!!!!!

  • I waited a month to submit this review so I could really try out the interface to make sure it worked as advertised. I’m very happy to say that it works perfectly. In fact, I would say that this product is amazing!

I installed this in my 2007 Honda Odyssey and followed the video instructions like everyone else. The video was perfect. I watched it a few times and then put the unit in with no issues. I do have two recommendations for anyone installing into a Honda Odyssey:

-The screw that is already out in the video is actually the hardest one to get out. It is the middle screw for the radio. I highly recommend purchasing an extra-long Phillips screwdriver. A standard screwdriver is not going to be long enough. In addition, this will be the screw that you lose in the dashboard (like I did) so be careful!

-When I pulled out my radio, I noticed that there was something already plugged into the second port (the video shows nothing plugged in). I initially thought I’d need to order a Y cable but that was not the case. I realized that this plug does nothing if you don’t have XM hooked up in your Odyssey. So I unplugged it and plugged in the interface adapter and everything still worked (AM/FM/CD Changer).

I used this adapter on a recent trip to the beach and it worked flawlessly. I used the AUX for my Sirius XM connection and the iPod/iPhone interface for Spotify. You simply press the “AUX/XM” button to toggle between the two. I am also using an iPhone 5 with a genuine Apple adapter and it worked great. I wasn’t able to control the playlists/song selection using my Honda radio but that didn’t matter since Spotify was on shuffle play.

Overall, I am extremely happy with this purchase and would recommend this product to anyone who needs AUX/iPod capabilities in their car. GTA Car Kits is a first-class company with a high-quality product. Thank you!

  • The kit was easy to install (the video really helps, and the tools are mostly things you’d have around any basic toolbox anyway) and the system works great! I was concerned that I wouldn’t be able to use the device as my corolla has a factory CD changer, but there was another (empty) port nearby and it works fine! The cables are long enough to thread the wires through the glove compartment and keep your iPhone/iPod out while driving. Very satisfied!

  • I just wanted to say that this device is the real deal. The video is very helpful. I installed this in under one hour. It works great. This is a good alternative to replacing the stock radio in the car which is not easy. The Mazda radio is large and even Crutchfield did not have a good solution. The quality of real itunes music is better than cd. My other mp3’s I have on the device are good too. Also, if you have a 6 disc changer mounted in the front attached inside the radio unit the port in back is indeed empty so theirs plugs right in. Also be prepared for the currency exchange fee since these guys are in Canada. It was 2% for me. Well worth it. Thanks guys!
