  • The video is great to get all the connections done and how to get the trim and stereo out – the one thing I would add though – is if you are struggling to fit the unit behind the stereo like I was – and I mean struggling – KEEP READING.

I tucked the cables underneath the lip you will find right below the stereo – seems like a good place for cables etc to go – but the stereo was facing interference with the module when it was placed behind the stereo unit as instructed in the video. So I reached out for help to GTA and they suggested behind/beside the glove box is also doable. I took a quick peek opening the glove box and it was 4 torx screws you can EASILY see to pull the glove box out (undo the dome light in the glove box – easy). Took 2 minutes to get the glove box out.

Then right there on the left of the glove box is a perfect place for the module. There was a clear pass through (not hard to fish wires at all) to behind the stereo so i just ran the cables from the stereo that were going to the module through wide open pass through – connected the module – and then tucked the module just to the left of where the glove box was going to be reinserted. After struggling for a few hours to make it fit behind the stereo – it took me 10 minutes with this solution.

DO NOT BE AFRAID to remove the glove box and tuck the unit there -it is WAY less work than you think. Wireless carplay works perfectly – i tucked the antenna under the vents that you remove first as the video suggested. I did run the female USB connection as they instructed in case I want to plug directly in but so far no issues with the wireless connection at all. Instructions were all clear – just hope someone reads this when they can’t fit the module right behind the stereo. It MIGHT be because my stereo was a the disc changer version and their video shows a single CD player version – although they do look to be identical in terms of size – maybe there is an extra cm or something on the back that causes an issue. Thanks GTA – the support after purchase was excellent and I really appreciate you guys!

  • Just installed this unit in my S-Class Coupe. The installation video covers every detail, just might have to watch it a few times 😉 If you’re installing for yourself and not a professional, take care not to drain your auxiliary battery from leaving the interior lights on, etc. while you’re working on the vehicle. Had to replace mine….

The unit works as advertised, seamlessly switches to camera when backing up, calls sound good, all the buttons do what you expect. Very satisfied!

  • Installed this kit on my Mercedes C300 2016 through the video tutorial (I recommend carefully watching it through) and it went smoothly. I did run into the problem of bypassing the fiber optic cable but Vitaliy was very patient and guided me through a solution and the kit works 100%. This kit took about 1-2 hours of labor. Once set up, it offers seamless wireless connectivity for both Apple and Android devices, allowing for hands-free navigation, music, and calls, and provides a nice modern touch to older infotainment systems. The interface is responsive and integrates well with the existing display. The build quality is solid, maintaining the vehicle’s factory look. While the kit is a bit of an investment, it’s a cost-effective way to upgrade your vehicle’s tech without buying a new car. Overall, it’s a practical and valuable upgrade for enhancing your driving experience. I would highly recommend!

  • I have a 2010 997.2 with the Bose option and XM. I have found the installation of this product to be straightforward, I have been able to use Apple Car Play without any issues since the installation. I’m very happy with this product so far.

  • My Quarter 1 2018 GLC350 sat nav does not show the current speed limits. So I bought the GTAcarkit. This gives me CarPlay and the option to use Waze that mostly shows the speed limits. This is essential in the highly enforced police traffic monitoring in Australia. Vitaliy helped out with initial sound issues by advising iphone setting changes. I am very happy with the upgrade

  • I have a 2018 Nissan Pathifinder and I always wanted to upgrade my radio and did not know how. I came across this kit while searching the internet. I order it and install and I am so happy with the device. I was having issues with not getting audio and they were quick to reply the next day, however I did figure it out prior to the reply.
Great customer service and now my vehicle is updated with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and I love it

  • I installed this on a 2016 Panamera 4S with NAVI, satellite radio, Sony stereo, steering wheel controls + usual phone, Bluetooth and AUX, AUX Bluetooth inputs. The install video is excellent as far as it goes to about 85% of the install, but it ends before making some of the re-connections to the car, getting the PCM back into its space in the dash, and the set-up process once the install complete. As some have noted you need to wrestle with the increased size and location of the wire connections to get the PCM all the way in. Also it wasn’t obvious how to deal with Fiber Optic audio connections inherent in the Bose stereo system. All these issues were dealt with expeditiously via email to the supplier although it did take a bit of back and forth to get it all sorted. In the end, the product is 100% compatible with this car, and there is no loss or degradation of any functionality–the Car’s steering wheel controls and microphone work as designed, as do all original car functions like satellite radio and the car play additions. There is no downgrading of the stereo system. Again as noted by others there can be a delay sometimes in boot-up, and shifting between options within, or between car play applications but this is trivial relative the tremendous increase in power via car play on the PCM system. I love the fact that there is no additional stand alone box containing the car play components; they all fit cleanly into the existing PCM electronic box. It’s a great add in system to bring car play to your car.
