I had noticed that the Siri text preview playback for approval did not translate to the text sent to recipients. I saw this in the text thread translation in messages.

Also I often use iPhone videos to communicate quickly via text without typing … including when driving. I found CarPlay was preventing the audio of the video recordings.

I supposed that toggling back to the Mercedes blue tooth video might reset the audio in my 2012 ML 350. From the GTA installation I used to install and program the GTA module, I understood toggling back and forth was a simple use of the BACK button.

Entering the Mercedes system I navigated to AUDIO and noted the BIG ISSUE OF AUX AUDIO OPTION SO EMPHATICALLY EMPHASIZED IN THE SINGLE PAGE GTA INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS … and selected as i recall the Mercedes Blue Tooth setting.

THIS INCORRECT ADJUSTMENT lost my bluetooth audio altogether, thus I RESELECTED AUX … YET THE AUDIO DID NOT RESTORE … and while THE SCREEN WAS FULLY FUNCTIONAL, THERE WAS NO BLUETOOTH AUDIO. EVIDENTLY I ALSO HAD CHANGED THE AMP SETTING AS WELL while ATTEMPTING TO RESET THE MERCEDES SPEAKERS.

*** LEX … an EXCEPTIONAL GTA TECH … THROUGH BOTH EMAIL AND TELEPHONE CONSULTAITON WAS PATIENT WITH MY CLUMSY MANIPULATIONS AND GUIDED ME THROUGH THE REPROGRAMMING OF BOTH THE MERCEDES AND GTA SYSTEMS. I CANNOT RECOMMEND LEX AND GTA SUPPORT ENOUGH.

We achieved full success while I traveling 1000 miles from home during 2 roadside consultations. Lex kindly called knowing I was traveling and I pulled over on the side of the road, anxious to restore full GTA function. THE ISSUE OF INTERFERENCE OF TALKING ON IPHONE WHILE REPROGRAMING WAS OVERCOME IN THE 2ND CONSULTATION minutes later WHEN I WAS ABLE TO USE MY MAC WITH IPHONE HOTSPOT TO FREE UP THE IPHONE.

I waited a good many years for a compatible AIR PLAY MODULE. The early offerings were too large for in dash installation. I had considered installation of the larger modules elsewhere in the car. *AND GTA HAS COVERED ALL THE BASES WITH AN EXCELLENT CONVERSION … AS WELL AS PROFESSIONAL AND EFFICIENT CUSTOMER SUPPORT that is unfortunately a rare combination in these complicated digital times.

Kudos to GTA and sincere THANKS to Lex for his capable and patient assistance.

Great product and customer service. I wasn’t sure if it would work on my sons 2014 Jag XF so emailed them and they confirmed it would work. Then the step-by-step video instructions were spot on. If you are even minimally good with your hands this is super easy to install. Great product!!

2017 Infiniti Q50. Super easy installation using the YouTube videos. I had one small issue with the circuit board, but Lex diagnosed the issue and sent replacement parts very quickly. Now the system works great and I highly recommend GTA.

Really good addition to the 997.2 PCM. Easy install and video to guide you through it. Now I can use CarPlay and audio from my phone. I had a support question during installation and Lex was quick to fix my issue and all is good now.

Works perfectly. Be very careful with the ribbon cables, making sure they are seated properly. After I got that figured out, the Android Auto/Apple Car Play is just as good as any aftermarket radio replacement I do in my stereo shop.

I installed this in my car yesterday. The video was very helpful, and while my car was not exactly like the one used in the video, it was close enough. The hardest part was getting the new wire harness to fit behind the radio unit. The optic cables in the car were bundled with other wires going to the connector that plugs into the radio, and I unbundled them to allow that end of the harness to move farther out of the way.
All the original functions work as before, so for example, backup camera will come on, displacing CarPlay functions on the screen, and then return to the CarPlay function when in drive.
When using Waze (the main reason I got this system) the car screen functions properly, but sound for directions comes from the phone, not the car. The car satellite radio does not mute or turn down during directions, so the directions are a bit harder to hear. And since the system uses the original screen, there are no touchscreen functions.

Overall I am happy with the system, and would purchase again.

Great little kit to add Bluetooth to the factory radio. I had been thinking about swapping the radio out at first, but I didn’t want to spend $500 to do the aftermarket climate controls and radio or have one awkwardly mounted where the cubby is. Easy to install, connects right up after turning on the car, and at least with android, keeps the voice control functionality without needing to press anything.

I ordered the GTA Apple CarPlay car Kit for my 2012 Jaguar XF 5.0L on December 26 during the Holidays and received it on Friday. Jan 3. Very Quick, Very nice. Fredericksburg VA. This is the second product that I ordered from GTA. I previously ordered at Bluetooth kit for my Lexus and it also work flawlessly and that is why I ordered this kit for the Jaguar

I installed it on December 27 using your YouTube . Also Perfect step by step with no problems and not a scratch to the Jaguar’s interior.

The system works flawlessly . Get improvements to this beautiful Jaguar. I am using the Bluetooth connection and its perfect. It starts up immediately as the unit syncs up the wireless CarPlay with my iPhone 14. Awesome product. Thank you. The Jag now has state of the art navigation and Music on it wonderful sound system. My wife loves it too. Thank you
