This is 10 year review of owning this product on 2006 Acura MDX. After 10 years of working great and providing crystal clear audio, it stopped working. I contacted GTA support and followed their suggestions in troubleshooting. The problem was with 30pin to lightning adapter. The apple adapter I had went bad after 10 years. However the GTA kit works great still after 10 years! I highly recommend this kit to anyone who wants great audio at fraction of cost of replacing it to the latest apple carplay radio. You just need to source 30 pin to lightning adapter if you have latest apple iPhone

I did quite a bit of research for my 2005 Acura MDX. I ended up buying the regular AUX from GTA Car Kits because of how reliable they were and their professionalism.
Being able to match the needs of many different cars very specifically must tell you that they are experts at this. Their customer service is exceptional. I had questions and each one received a response in under 10 minutes. In addition, shipping was very quick! I live in the US, and I ordered my kit on a Thursday which was processed and shipped on Friday and then I received it on Monday, four days after ordering.
Installation was easy and the provided video was an excellent guide. It took 30 minutes and all I used was a flat head screwdriver and a Phillips screwdriver. I ran the wires through the glove box just like they said I could and it works perfectly. There was also enough space to keep everything behind the radio.
The AUX cord is a TRS (left, right, ground) configuration which means it is not mono audio. Instead, it works without flaw for those songs that utilize differing left and right audio. This also means it works for CTIA and OMTP. I have an iPhone 6. The only steering wheel control that works is the volume control which controls the car audio. Volume can also be controlled via my iPhone (which controls the phone’s audio volume not the car volume). The volume wheel was also the only thing that worked from the radio.
The quality is as advertised if not better due to the left and right audio. I had no issues with sound quality while driving no matter how fast I drove.
Would recommend!

“I just wanted to write you a quick review of my GTA Car Kit. It just arrived in the mail today (ordered three days ago), and installation in my 2005 Acura MDX took about 20 minutes with the help of your video. My wife bought me an FM transmitter for Christmas, and it worked very poorly due to the number of radio stations in Portland.
I did extensive research prior to ordering, and decided to go with the GTA Car Kit because: 1) It seemed to integrate with the existing stereo/nav unit more seamlessly than any of your competitors. 2) The resume feature is very appealing and works flawlessly. 3) The unit charges my phone while plugged in. 4) The video makes the installation process a breeze. FYI – I don’t have an experience with taking apart anything in cars, but felt very confident through every step in the process after watching the video. 5) Your website is very helpful.
I also called prior to ordering to ensure that I could speak to an actual human, and was pleased that the person answering the phone was extremely knowledgable and was easily able to answer all of my questions.
The unit works great. I’ve used it with the iPod, Spotify, Pandora, and all worked beautifully and resumed each time i returned to the car. I am very satisfied. Thank you!”

“Before purchasing GTA Car Kit I tried an FM transmitter and returned it due to poor quality of audio.
Shipping from GTA Car kits was very fast – received the kit in three days.
The installation was easy. I viewed the video before I purchased the kit and it drove my purchase decision. I viewed it again when installing to make sure I was following all of the steps. I was able to install in 30 minutes. I purchased a small nail puller to remove the radio bezel from the car, although I could have done with a small screwdriver.
I am using an old iPod Nano, and iPhone 3GS. Both work great. I ran the iPod cable out the bezel below the aux power port below the radio so the iPod is easily accessible while driving. I will probably move it to the glove box.
I like how easy GTA Car Kit integrates into the factory radio, plus it charges the iPod.
I have already recommended this product to my friends. This is a good value.”
