  • I thought that I would not be able to do this, but I just did it in 10 minutes! I followed the advice to just pop out the lower glove box and panel. I had to unscrew a little bit by the vent to move that weird white box of wires, but it was easy from there, and it works!! Thanks!!

  • This this is awesome!!! The installation video is great, and because of it, my install went as smooth as possible. Didn’t take any time at all. I also got the bluetooth module and when I fired the whole thing up the first time, the phone paired perfectly. Made a test call before I buttoned everything up – perfect. An added bonus that I **kinda** knew but forgot – the music will play through the stereo system via bluetooth, so I don’t have to plug the phone in if I don’t want. Works great for this family because not all of us have iPhones, so we can just use bluetooth instead. I love this product, and this company.

  • I bought the GTA car kit for my 2005 Honda Odyssey EX-L based on the great reviews. I was initially hesitant to install it because of the video showing that I had to drill a hole in the pocket compartment, but thanks to Jeff’s review, I learned that I didn’t need to drill a hole.

Here are some tips from my experience. Hope it helps you too.

    – I took off the front panel with just a regular flat-head screwdriver. At first, it didn’t seem like it’ll come off, but just keep prying all around it.
    – The left plug is hard to take off, but keep trying. Remember to press that little tab on the left. I found it much easier to work with the entire panel off like in the video.
    – I recommend using a long Phillips screwdriver with a magnetic tip to use on that middle screw for the radio. It especially made putting back in a lot easier.
    – My radio had something plugged in already. From the other reviews, I figured it was for the XM radio, so I just unplugged it and plugged in the kit’s plug.
    – Pulling off the pocket required a lot more force than I thought. I thought I was going to break the plastic. Try doing one side partially first to loosen it a bit.
    – So based off Jeff’s review and after looking around for a few minutes, I realized I could take that cord from the back of the radio, bring it forward a few inches, and then thread it through the gap in between the two vents down to the right side of the pocket. I feel this is much cleaner way than the way shown in the video as everything is kept in the back. The right side of the pocket has the perfect amount of room for the module and the cables to sit in. Thanks for making the module small.
    – I then ran the 30-pin and headphone wires down toward the back right section of the pocket area to the passenger side floor area. I was able to see the gap through the front and I used my left hand to push down the two wires while using my right hand to grab from the floor area. If you have shorter arms, it may help to have someone to help you.
    – If you have an iPod or iPhone with the lightning port and have a case on, you might need to get the longer 30-pin to lightning adapter. The plug on the short stubby one was not long enough with the case on.

Overall, it’s a great product! Excellent sound quality and being able to use the radio and steering wheel controls is great! Just watch the video, read the reviews, follow my notes and go slowly and you should be able to install without a problem. It took me about 1:15 total, but I was going slowing trying not to break things and figuring out the best way to route the cables.

  • I am an Australian user of this GTA Car Kit. This works perfectly and the video guide although for LHS driven vehicles, is perfect for the RHS driven vehicles. It works perfectly and the sound quality is fantastic. Just ordered the Bluetooth extension for this kit and can’t wait to install it.

    Thanks for the fantastic product.

  • GTA Car Kits ROCK !!! I just wanted to thank you for such an awesome
product. Wasn’t sure how well my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 would work with the Bluetooth adapter but all worked flawlessly. I watched the video before I did the install, and there was no guess work when I actually installed it…. 30 minutes and I was done.!

  • Excellent video for easy installation. When they mean genuine Apple 30 pin to lightning adaptor they mean it! (Cheap one didn’t work) Good kit, would recommend to anyone with a little mechanical ability and the interest to diy.

  • I installed this beauty in mere moments, and I was very happy to have something that integrates so nicely with my Tacoma’s stereo. Most of the time this kit works wonderfully and I am generally quite happy with it. However sometimes I’ll queue up an audiobook on my iPod and plug it into the adapter, and when I click the Disc button on my stereo it starts playing Playlist 1. It’s very annoying. I’m also sad that there is no display of the playlist name when you are scrolling through them. I have a zillion playlists and I have to guess where I am in the list by what plays when I stop navigating. Mostly satisfied with my purchase, and I couldn’t be happier with how easy this was to install.

  • WOW! What an awesome product. Like one of the other reviewers here said, do yourself a favor and see if you can connect it without taking the dash of your Echo apart. The video really helps orient just where the plug goes, and you can reach under the dash behind the radio and plug it in by feel – just make sure the clip is down. Took me less than 10 minutes to have it fully installed in my glove box and I was rocking! Absolutely fantastic, this is a great product, easy to install, great helpful videos, and most importantly, great sound!
